Refurbishment of a villa from the 80s, a countryside retreat set in a typical Mediterranean landscape. The modernist home, inspired by the italian Memphis design group, plays with the eclectic mixture of concrete, wood, tiles, geometric shapes and planes. The asymmetrical open-plan layout makes the space feel varied. Four bedrooms surround the living space on two levels incorporating a dining area and a kitchen at one end, and a lounge featuring a fireplace on the other.
Our work comprised of the creation of 4 integrated bathrooms.
- an Italian style walk-in shower with view onto the garden
- a lunar walk-in shower, catching the evening light through a narrow window, with black and gold moroccan tiles enhancing the reflection of light
- an orange bathroom, with a free standing bath tub
- a grey-shaded bathroom, concrete floor, concrete ceiling, grey tiles, red dots. With the choice of a large art-nouveau mirror for contrast
